Experienced Special Educational SEND Teaching Assistant in Bishop Auckland

With rising demand, Teaching Personnel is thrilled to offer guaranteed work contracts to outstanding teachers and SEND support staff in Darlington and County Durham.

Each term, we provide selected, experienced SEND professionals with the opportunity to join our Guaranteed Work Scheme, ensuring a stable income while maintaining the flexibility that supply work offers. We are actively seeking SEND support staff to assist in SEND and SEMH provisions for both primary and secondary students across the County Durham region, with immediate start dates available.

  • Guaranteed income for at least the number of days (minus one) each week that you are available under the scheme’s terms.

How the Scheme Works:

  • After registration and receiving positive feedback from our partner schools, we’ll discuss your availability for supply work.
  • We’ll guarantee payment for all but one of your available days per week, even if no work is assigned.
  • To be compensated when work is unavailable, you must fulfill the scheme’s terms and conditions.

Role Requirements:

  • Prior experience with children or young people with special educational needs is preferred but not mandatory.

All pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is an interim post, with the possibility for an extended tenure in the years to come.
